The final drive ratio of engine RPM to rear wheel RPM on any HD bike can be calculated as follows
- Final Drive Ratio (FDR) = (# clutch/# engine teeth) x (# rear wheel teeth/trans teeth)
- For M8 Baggers: FDR = (46/34) X (68/32) = 2.87
- For M8 Softail: FDR = (46/34) X (66/32) = 2.79
